Privacy Policy

Peak & Pit is built for small groups of close friends. We collect the minimum we need to run the app, and we never sell your personal information.

Information we collect

• Phone number. We use your phone number to create your account and verify it by SMS. It is also how friends find you.
• Contacts. If you grant permission, we read your contact list to show which of your contacts already use Peak & Pit. Contact data is matched in hashed form and is never shared with other users or advertisers. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time.
• Media you upload. The photos and videos in your Peaks and Pits, plus any caption, reaction, or comment.
• Optional location. If you enable it, the approximate place a Peak or Pit was captured is attached to that post.
• Device and usage data. Device model, app version, crash logs, and basic usage events used to fix bugs.

How we use it

To deliver your daily Peaks and Pits to the friends you approved, send reminders and nudges, keep the service secure, moderate abuse, and improve the app.

Who can see your content

Only the friends you have accepted. Peak & Pit has no public feed, no follower counts, and no discovery of strangers.

Retention and deletion

Your posts stay in your history until you delete them or delete your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, posts, and contact matches from our systems, apart from limited records we must keep for legal or safety reasons.

Children

Peak & Pit is not intended for anyone under 13.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to erase it by writing to support@peakandpit.app.
